LMFP/NMC Blends for Enhanced Thermal Stability

While NMC, LFP, and LMFP each offer distinct strengths, a growing number of battery manufacturers are recognizing a key advantage of LMFP: its ability to blend seamlessly with NMC due to their similar voltage profiles, especially when safety is a top priority.

LMFP’s stable olivine structure and narrow particle size distribution enable it to coat or partially surround NMC secondary particles. This reduces surface reactions and significantly improves resistance to thermal runaway. The result is higher thermal stability and safer operation at the material and chemistry levels.
